Short Description:The Georgia Dept of Revenue, Technology Authority, and DDS teamed for program proofing and secure tax filing services and fraud reduction. These efforts led to Georgia DDS being a longtime leader in the AAMVA’s mDL development efforts. On May 18th, Georgia DDS and Apple announced the launch of Georgia’s mDL. Additionally, Georgia DDS, in coordination with TSA and Apple, has enabled airline passengers to use their Georgia-issued mobile driver’s license or ID card in Apple Wallet to present and verify their identity for airport security screening purposes at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL). In Oct 2023, Georgia DDS announced Digital License and IDs are now available on Android devices.
